Your Parker & Tarrant County Weekend Guide (May 8-10)

Broker Nick Getzendanner stands at a dynamic community event, presenting a North Texas weekend guide for May 8-10, highlighting events in Fort Worth, Weatherford, Aledo, and critical home maintenance tips.

The Weekend Pulse: Events in Weatherford, Aledo, and Fort Worth

As we head into the second weekend of May 2026, the energy in North Texas is high. Whether you are taking a break from the house hunt or looking to enjoy the spring weather, there is plenty happening right in our backyard.

Pro-Tip: May Maintenance for Your Foundation

While you’re enjoying the events, don’t forget that May is the critical month for foundation and siding inspections in North Texas. With our soil shifting as it dries out, now is the time to walk the perimeter of your home and check for new cracks. A little preventative watering or a quick repair now can save you thousands during a future sale.

Aledo ISD Growth Update

For my Aledo families, the Aledo Growth Committee recently presented designs for a potential future second high school and a “College and Career Academy”. While a new school may not be needed until 2032, the district is being proactive with land already owned north of McAnally Middle School. This kind of long-term planning is exactly why Aledo remains one of the most stable markets for home values.

Planning a move this weekend? If you see a “For Sale” sign in Aledo or Weatherford that catches your eye, give me a shout. I’ve got your six.
