Yesterday, Painted Tree Boutiques abruptly announced the closure of all 66 locations nationwide. This includes our local hubs in North Richland Hills, Grapevine, Frisco, Mansfield, and Tyler.
For those who don’t know, Painted Tree wasn’t just a store—it was a "boutique mall" that housed hundreds of independent local shops, artists, and creators under one roof. These entrepreneurs are our neighbors, and vendors across the country are now being told they have only a few days to retrieve their life’s work before the doors lock for good.
Many of these makers paid their rent and fully stocked their shelves for the month, only to be met with locked doors and no warning. It is a devastating blow to the people who make our Texas communities so unique.
